Frederick Student Council Honored for Food Drive Initiative

Ms. Michele Bauman, Avon Township Supervisor, visited the Frederick School Student Council on Tuesday, January 10 to speak with the students about their recent food drive efforts. The 5th and 6th-grade student council members organized and led a food drive that collected over 4200 food items that will help feed Avon Township families and community members.

The discussion centered on how food pantries operate, how to find and check expiration dates on food items, and how thankful the community is for all of their hard work. Ms. Bauman presented the student council with a framed Certificate of Appreciation from Avon Township.
