Frederick School Intramural Program 2024-2025

 

Session 1

September 2024

Welcome to the first session of Intramural Clubs at Frederick School. There will be 4 Intramural sessions this year: The first session will begin Monday, September 23, 2024.

Session 1: September 23-October 31 (No clubs on Monday, October 14)
Session 2: November 18-January 16 (No clubs November 25-28 and Dec. 23-Jan.2)
Session 3: February 3-March 13 (No clubs February 17)
Session 4: April 7-May 15

Activities run Monday through Thursday from 3:20-4:30 pm. Please pick only one intramural club per day. The fee for each intramural is $30. Some clubs have additional fees for supplies (see brochure). Homework Club is free to Frederick students and students must bring work that needs to be done or a book to read.

There will be no intramural clubs on half days or on days when there is no school. Should an intramural be canceled (as in the event of severe weather), you will be notified as soon as possible.

Please note that students must be picked up on time at 4:30 pm in the main parking lot. If they are not, we may dismiss them from the intramural program. There will be NO bus service for students attending the intramural program.

All registration Google Forms are due by Friday, September 13, 2024. You will receive an email confirmation of what club the students got into on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. ALL payments will be charged through Infinite Campus. Please do NOT send in payment.

Homework Club

Looking for some extra time to do your homework? Stay after school and get your work done! We require your regular attendance at the club, so choose days you know you will be able to attend weekly. Homework Club is FREE for Frederick students.


Anime Club
Reisman/209

Do you enjoy anime? Come join Anime club where we will watch some episodes of different anime, talk about your favorite parts and theories, and explore the culture of anime and have fun doing it.

NOTE TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Some anime may have violence or other adult situations that would entail a PG or PG-13 rating. If you would like to review some of the options we will consider, please check out the links below or their personal rating on Common Sense Media or IMDB. [email protected]

Kickball Club

Joining the kickball club on Mondays after school is a fantastic way to add some fun and excitement to your week! Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking to try something new, the club offers a great mix of friendly competition and team spirit. You’ll get to enjoy some fresh air, make new friends, and improve your kickball skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. So lace up your sneakers and come kick it with us!

Looking for some extra time to do your homework? Stay after school and get your work done! We require your regular attendance at the club, so choose days you know you will be able to attend weekly. Homework Club is FREE for Frederick students.

Cooking Club
Pucher/110 Science Lab

Time to get cooking again. If you like to slice, dice, mix it up and more, then this is the club for you. Together, we will follow recipes to create many delicious foods for you to enjoy. You will get a copy of the recipes for you to create your own cookbook and share your culinary skills with your families. For sanitary purposes, you will be required to wear a mask and gloves during food preparation. Masks will be provided by the school. Students with long hair are encouraged to wear a hair tie or clip.
*Allergy alert: We will not cook with peanuts, but please be aware that allergens may be present.
**There is an additional $10.00 charge for supplies.


Movie Club
Alfaro/Library

It’s SHOWTIME! Come be a movie critic…
join us in the library for a fun movie. Students are encouraged to bring a peanut free snack to munch on while watching the movie!


WEDNESDAYS:

Homework Club

Looking for some extra time to do your homework? Stay after school and get your work done! We require your regular attendance at the club, so choose days you know you will be able to attend weekly. Homework Club is FREE for Frederick students.


Video Gaming Club
Reisman/515

Want to play games with your friends? Bring a device and come play some games. You can bring your phone or tablet for mobile games like Among Us or Minecraft, you can bring your Nintendo Switch, or just your chromebook. There may be tournaments and special events certain weeks, but for the most part it is just a chance to game and hang out with your friends.
NOTE TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS: If students choose to bring their own device from home (Nintendo Switch, phone, tablet, etc.) they are responsible for keeping it turned off and in their locker or backpack during the school day. No devices will be given to students to use at the club. Students can use their chromebook for gaming as well. Cases are recommended for travel to avoid breakage or damage. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged devices.


Knitting Club
Griffin/Library

Unwind and unleash your creativity in a cozy, welcoming environment. Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or a complete beginner, the club offers a perfect mix of crafting, learning, and socializing. You’ll have the chance to work on your own projects, exchange tips and ideas with fellow knitters, and enjoy some relaxing time with friends.
Note: Knitting needles are available for $4.00


Stamp and Scrapbook Club
Czapiewski/Library

Come make and have fun with stamps and scrapbooking! Let your creativity run wild as you craft how you’d like. Bring your favorite pictures to use while crafting.

Looking for a fun and exciting way to spend your after-school hours? Join the frisbee club! It’s an awesome opportunity to play a dynamic sport, learn new tricks, and have a blast with friends.

Art Club
Crane/Art Room

Calling all fellow artists! Art Club students will enhance their artistic skills by working on individual projects as well as making cool group projects that may possibly hang in the school permanently!
 $10 additional fee for supplies


Lego Club
Franzen/MPR

LEGO MASTERS: Show off your Lego building skills. Use your creativity to build Lego masterpieces. All Legos will be provided, you just need to show up and have fun.
